Meet The Team


Jeannie Jobst – President

Jeannie is an avid Blackhawks fan and Cubs fan who has been married to JJ for 27 years. She has 3 children and 4 grandkids. When she isn’t busy with children or the shop, Jeannie likes to play tennis and go boating with Captain JJ.


John(JJ) Jobst – Vice President

After nine years with a major dealership, JJ opened Schaumburg Automedics in 1989 to bring master level automobile repair and maintenance expertise at a fair price to the residents of the northwest suburbs. JJ’s business philosophy centers around building trusted client relationships, performing honest diagnostics and quality repairs, maintaining safe and trustworthy vehicles, and providing exemplary service to keep his customers for life.


Steve Gilbert – Service Manager

Steve has been in the automotive industry for 13 years, 10 of which were right here at Schaumburg Automedics. After spending the last 9 years in the restaurant industry, Steve decided to come “Home”, and finish what he started years ago, carry on the company policy of, service, integrity, and honesty. Hobbies, sports junkie and anything outside. – Servoice


Dave Brown – ASE Master Automobile Technician, ASE L1 Advanced Level Drivability Specialist

Dave has 12 years experience in the automotive field and he also serviced our country in the Marines for 4 years. On his off time he likes to travel, go to movies, play video games, and spend time with his two dogs.


Dante Malagon – ASE Certified Technician

Dante is an ASE Certified Technician with 6 years of experience and he is working on his Master level ASE with ASE L1 Advanced Level Drivability Specialist. On his time off he loves watching sports (he is a Cardinals fan but we will not hold it against him), and playing soccer.


Anthony Bertonini – Apprentice Technician

Anthony is a recent graduate from Hoffman Estates High School, class of June 2019. Since his senior year, he has been in our apprentice program. He is now enrolled at Triton College in their two-year Automotive Training Program. He works in the morning as an apprentice technician learning from our team of technicians and in the afternoon attends Triton College for his studies.
